The experience from the exterior can be drastically different from the interior. Many factors influence the way we experience a space such as light, touch sounds and colours. From the exterior of my model there is a foreboding aura that surrounds it. Harsh lights are reflected from the cold marble that envelopes the foreign structure. Small windows at the top third of a side wall deters onlookers from looking inside. While the inside feels welcoming and safe. Now the marble is able to fill the space with light. The light brown timber floors counteracts the intensity of the marble and brings back warmth in the room.
